Participate with a poster presentationNOTE! new deadline April 1 You will reach a specialised and interested public, get feedback on your findings and have opportunity to make important contacts. If your project is recently started you can make your poster very simple with only a description of your goals and the project layout. To participate with a poster you need to enter an application to the conference and tick the box saying that you will send a poster abstract. Important facts for participants in the poster session: 2. At latest by April 1 send an abstract (summary) of the poster by e-mail as an attached file to: Pelle.Fredriksson@cul.slu.se. You shall also send a printout of the summary by mail of fax to Pelle Fredriksson, CUL, SLU, Box 7047, 750 07 Uppsala or fax +46 (0)18-67 35 71. Name your files according to the principle: family-name_first-name_text.doc and family-name_first-name_fig.jpg 3. The abstract should not be more than one page (about 2 500 letters including spaces). If the abstract includes tables or such, the text must be reduced according to the needed space. Your name, phone number and e-mail address must be included in the text document. Make sure that the name of your project and institution/company or such is included also. The material will be re formatted in publishing software, so be sure not to make any formatting. Use only bold type to mark headings and sub headings – try to only use one level of sub headings. 4. Send figures and illustrations as separate picture files (eg. jpg, pdf, tif or eps). In other words, they should not be inserted into the text document. Figures and illustrations will be printed in black and white. Some light colours may disappear in printing. Diagrams made in Excel should be sent with their Excel files, including data. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions.
