Invitation to propose workshops during Nordic Organic Conference

Is there a special issue within organic food production and consumption that you would like to have a “in depth” discussion on?

Wednesday 20th May – the third day of Nordic Organic Conference –will be set off for a number of parallel workshops. Until October 24th proposals for workshop themes are welcomed.

It is desirable that your proposal contains an outline with your ideas on objectives, suggestions on speakers, target groups, forms for discussions etc. Preferable is also if you have the possibility to take a certain responsibility for coordination of the suggested workshop.

Without pretensions on total comprehensiveness and ability to put all suggestions into effect, the ambition is to offer a broad and varied menu of workshops.

So far, the following suggestions for workshop themes has been received:

• weeds
• protein fodder
• animal health
• green manure and nitrogen management
• new varieties
• new varieties for a new climate
• local production and transports
• organic food in public kitchens (meeting between municipal politicians and public kitchen personnel)
• leisure- and urban gardening
• ethical and ecological perspectives on trade
• recruitment of more organic famers
• local and regional added values, certification for small scale

Please observe that most of those suggestions at the moment only are suggestion on subject level. Suggestions for more detailed contents within these subjects are very much welcomed.
